StorkIt, Inc. Privacy Policy

StorkIt, Inc. (“StorkIt”) knows that you care how information about you is used and shared. This notice describes StorkIt’s privacy policy for our smart phone application (the “App”) including all online services and functions. This Privacy Policy applies whether you access StorkIt through a browser, a mobile app, or some other method.

Registration

You must register on this App in order to use the App’s online services and functions. During registration, you will be required to provide contact information, consisting of your name, birthdate, zip/postal code, and mobile phone number. Your birthdate is collected in order to help prevent use of the App by people under the age of 18, and to help prevent other prohibited uses of the App.

Information we get when you use the StorkIt application

At various points in the StorkIt experience, you may provide us with information about yourself. For example, when you create an account with StorkIt, you provide us with personal information like your name, mobile phone number, email, birthdate, and zip/postal code. If you place a StorkIt delivery offer or delivery request, we may collect information including your address and the details of the StorkIt delivery (retail merchant information, product name, product UPC, etc.).

If you wish to invite your friends and contacts to use StorkIt we will give you the option of either entering in their contact information manually or importing it from your device’s contacts or address books on other third-party services. We will store this information for the sole purposes of allowing you to invite your friends to download StorkIt, to send friends StorkIt delivery offers and delivery requests, for determining whether your friends use StorkIt, and to remind your friends of the offers and requests sent on your behalf.

If you log into StorkIt through a third-party service, both we and that third-party may receive some information about you and your use of the services. For example, if you choose to log into StorkIt with your Facebook account, we may receive information about your contacts. We may also offer social sharing tools (such as the Facebook “Like” button) that let you share actions on StorkIt with other sites and vice versa. In those cases, the providers of those tools may receive information about you when you use those tools. You should check the privacy policies of these services and your settings there for more information.

Additional types of information we collect when you use our application:

Usage information. We collect information about your activity through our application.

Device information. We collect device-specific information such as the hardware model, operating system version, advertising identifier, unique application identifiers, unique device identifiers, browser type, language, wireless network and mobile network information (including the mobile phone number).

Device phonebook. Because StorkIt is all about communicating with friends, we may – with your consent – collect information from your device’s phonebook.

Camera and photos. To help the process of requesting or shopping for retail items StorkIt application users have the ability to upload photos, this require us to collect images and other information from your device’s camera and photos.

Location information. When you use our application, we may collect information about your location. With your consent, we may also collect information about your precise location using methods that include GPS, wireless networks, cell towers, Wi-Fi access points and other sensors such as gyroscopes, accelerometers and compasses.

Information collected by cookies and other technologies. Like most online services and mobile applications, we may use cookies and other technologies such as web beacons, web storage and unique advertising identifiers to collect information about your activity, browser and device. We may also use these technologies to collect information when you interact with services we offer through one of our partners, such as commerce features. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually remove or reject browser cookies through the settings on your browser or device. Keep in mind, though, that removing or rejecting cookies could affect the availability and functionality of our services.

Email from StorkIt for Newsletters and Announcements

StorkIt may use your username and email address to provide you with email newsletters and announcements. If you wish to receive these kinds of communications, you can opt in on the StorkIt website (StorkItApp.com) or by email to info@StorkItApp.com.

Product Information and Offers

TThe email address information that you provide on the App may be used to contact you about other product and service offers from StorkIt. StorkIt may also use that information to let you know of additional products and services from other companies that you might be interested in. If you do not wish to receive these kinds of communications, you can opt out by return email to info@StorkItApp.com.

Significant Announcements by Email

StorkIt may also use your registered name and email address to provide you with significant announcements about App functions or services that you are registered to use, about this App, about any user account you may create, about fulfillment of a specific transaction you have requested, or about other significant developments that may affect your use of the App. You cannot opt-out of this kind of email.

Communications with Others

StorkIt is not responsible for the privacy or security of any information, personal or otherwise, that you may choose to communicate or exchange using the functionality of the App. Each item of information or any materials you contribute for such purposes are your “Public Content.” Public Content must be content and information that you have a right to disclose and transfer and must not violate any other person’s privacy or intellectual property rights.

Feedback to StorkIt

StorkIt has feedback functionality on the App that allows you to submit comments, suggestions, or bugs found. StorkIt may collect your name or username and email address in order to follow up with you or thank you for a suggestion.

Anonymous Data

StorkIt may track the App to analyze trends, administer the App, track your actions and use of the App, record transactions, and gather demographic information for aggregate use. Such analysis is not linked to personally identifiable information. StorkIt may share aggregated demographic and usage information with its business partners. This aggregated information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

This App may contain links to other Apps. StorkIt is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other Apps. StorkIt encourages users to be aware when they leave the App and to read the privacy statements of Apps that collect personally identifiable information. This privacy policy applies only to information collected on this App.

Payment

Reimbursement for the items purchased on your behalf can be made by Paypal.Me, other secure payment tools that we may make available via the App, by personal check, or with cash. You may tip at your discretion.

Security Technology

When this App’s registration or order form asks you to enter information (such as your PayPal.me username or personal information), the information is encrypted and is protected during transmission through the Internet using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software. You should see the lock icon on the bottom of web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked or open when you are just surfing. Correction/Updating of Personal Information If you need assistance, or would like your personal information deleted from our system, you can email us at info@StorkItApp.com.

Protection of Minors

Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to register on this App or use any functionality for which registration is required.

Business or Asset Transfer or Sale

StorkIt may be sold, might sell or buy businesses or assets of businesses, or StorkIt might merge with another business. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. Also, in the event that StorkIt, a line of business of StorkIt, or substantially all the assets of StorkIt are transferred, customer information may well be one of the transferred assets. StorkIt will make reasonable effort to provide notice on the App and to notify you via email to the most recent email address that you have provided to StorkIt of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

Release of Information for Legal Reasons

StorkIt may release information concerning your use of StorkIt (including, but not limited to, posted Public Content, registration information, and network records) when it believes in good faith that such release is appropriate to comply with the law (for example, pursuant to a statutory demand, subpoena, warrant or court order), to protect against fraudulent, abusive or unlawful use of the StorkIt, to protect StorkIt's rights or property, enforce any contract between you and StorkIt, or if StorkIt reasonably believes that a situation involving danger of death or injury to any person requires disclosure.

Limited Use

StorkIt does not intend to sell, share, or rent information obtained on this App other than as discussed in this privacy policy.

Changes in This Privacy Policy

StorkIt reserves the right to to change its privacy policy. StorkIt’s users can review this policy at any time in order to remain aware of what information StorkIt collects, how StorkIt uses it, and under what circumstances, if any, StorkIt discloses it.

Your California Privacy Rights

Residents of the State of California, under the California Civil Code, have the right to request from companies conducting business in California a list of all third parties to which the Company has disclosed personal information during the preceding year for direct marketing purposes and a disclosure of the shared information. Alternatively, the law provides that if the company has a privacy policy that provides you with an “opt-out” choice for use of your personal information by third parties for marketing purposes, the Company may instead provide you with information on how to exercise your disclosure choice options.

StorkIt does not provide personally identifiable information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
